Founded by award winning filmmaker, Bibi Owusu Shadbolt and Businessman Alan Reading, BOS films was registered with UK Companies House November 2014, following the release of Bibi's debut film Afua's Diary. Afua's Diary was a huge success, receiving nominations at the Screen Nations Awards UK, Cannes Pan African Film festival and Women Of African Descent Film Festival in New York.
After six years of research and collaborations, Bibi announced details of a slate of films and TV shows to be produced by BOS Films. BOS Films are focused on producing African flavoured films with budgets between £200,000 and £500,000.
In addition, the company will offer post -production services and training courses for aspiring filmmakers in London and Africa.
